On the east coast of China, with the Bohai Sea to the north and the Yellow Sea to the south sits the province of Shandong. It was there that we found these beautiful, sturdy baskets. Intricately woven from dried willow over 60 years ago, these baskets were originally used for collecting grain and taking goods to and from markets. We love that each is slightly different in colour, tone and texture; some even have names painted in ink on the handles. Style in your home as a laundry hamper, for your collected magazines or as a blanket basket in your living space.
