Almirahs, both big and small, were fundamental to most Indian households. They were used to store salt and grain in the kitchen, or saris, kantha quilts and other textiles in living spaces and bedrooms and each was as unique as the home of which they were a part. Salvaged from in the heart of Rajasthan, this 80-year-old vintage almirah was once used to store seasonal grain and a collection of fragrant spices. It has been handcrafted from solid, polished teak and has its original iron hardware intact. It has been fitted with delicate glass panels to protect whatever you choose to display on its shelves.
