When we are travelling through Rajasthan, one of our favourite things to see is the chippas, the incredible block printers, who stamp long stretches of fabric with bright pigments using their intricately hand carved wooden blocks. Each of their stamps is housed in wooden trays just like this one. It’s a puzzle of sorts; every block belongs to a specific compartment. We think it would make a gorgeous jewellery box or sewing kit with each tiny space filled with thread, thimbles and mis-matched buttons.
