Almirahs, both big and small, were a staple piece in almost all Indian households. Originally from Gujarat, this vintage piece is over 60 years old. It was salvaged from a rural haveli of the region and may have been used to house fresh produce, seasonal grain or piles of folded kantha. It was handcrafted from solid teak and polished in a natural wax to protect its remaining original paintwork.
